We all remember how mercilessly Fawad Khan scenes got slashed in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil after tensions got high on the Pakistan-India border.
Well, an Indian film-maker wants to put the past behind. Shonali Bose wants to cast the Pakistani heartthrob for her productions.
But, this can cause a bit of trouble for her.
“That is the problem with our country (India) nowadays. I speak of friendship between two countries. I want to make a film with Fawad Khan and nobody will allow me to make the film; producer will not back the film because of the risk and fear that has been created around it,” she said.
Her comment comes after the recent ban on Rahat Fateh Ali Khan spearheaded by Babul Supriyo.
Not to mention, Indian Motion Pictures Producers’ Association banned Pakistani actors from being casted in future projects.
Even though India is the world’s oldest democracy, the country’s passion for banning things is relatively recent. On the other hand, Pakistan loves arts and we truly believe what Sonali Bose says, “Cinema should be free.”
